VPIS Fall Meeting 11/15 – Mapping Historical Development in FC

The Falls Church Village Preservation and Improvement Society will hold its Fall Members Meeting on Sunday Nov. 15 from 3:00-5:00pm at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls Street.

Local historian Ric Terman will speak on “Mapping the Historical Development of Falls Church.”  Terman’s presentation will address such questions as “What made the City a liveable community?” and “What role did the Preservation Society play in our history?”  Ross Netherton and Linda Lau will provide expert response.

The Society will also present Awards for Excellence in Design.

    Also this Saturday the Neighborhood Tree Program invites everyone to come out at 9am at 215 S. Lee Street as we plant 16 trees around the city. Bring a pair of gloves and a shovel if you can. This is a great fall experience.
