City Schools Update Parents on Vaccination Availability

Dear FCCPS Parents and Guardians:
The Fairfax County Health Department, which serves Falls Church City, has expanded its H1N1 vaccine target group to include all school-age children. H1N1 vaccine clinics will be held at each of the health department’s five locations beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday November 10th and Thursday November 12th. The clinic closest to Falls Church City is located at 6245 Leesburg Pike, Suite 500, Falls Church, VA 22044, although Falls Church City residents may go to any Fairfax County Health Department clinic location. Vaccine is free of charge and available on a walk-in basis to the first 400 people in the target group listed below (except for the Springfield location which will serve the first 350 people):
· Children 6 months through 18 years of age
· Pregnant women
· Parents of children younger than 6 months of age
In addition to the clinics listed above, a 5:00 p.m. H1N1 vaccine clinic will be open on Thursday, Nov. 12th at only the Joseph Willard clinic located at 3750 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA 22030. Vaccine is free of charge and available on a walk-in to the first 250 people in the target group listed above.
