		<description>Gordon,

Thank you for your alert. We completely agree -- this is an important matter, and we hope citizens will make their views known. Options include attending in person to speak for three minutes, or, for those unable to attend in person, sending views by email to cityclerk@fallschurchva.gov.

One reason to attend Monday is that the citizen comment period will come first, from 7:30-8:30pm. Often, citizen comment time comes late at night after other matters are debated. So this is a chance for people to come out and take part in person, and still get home by a decent hour!

Note that this meeting will be NOT be at City Hall, but rather at the COMMUNITY CENTER.

Best,

Stan Fendley

		<description>ALERT!

The City Council will discuss the election change in a rare public discussion during a work session on Monday night at December 7. It is first on the agenda, 7:30-8:30 PM.

The problem for the Council is that they have only one more meeting before the end of the year, in order to be able to move the election in 2010, if that&#039;s what they decide to do.

So, if this is important to you (move it or let the public vote), and you have not already expressed your opinion, you need to be there, lest you be told &quot;well, we held a public meeting!&quot;

FCT: Please put on a separate article about this.
