Falls Church Residents Photograph the Blizzard of ’09
The streets became sledpaths as the Blizzard of 09 hit Falls Church. Weather forecasts call for continued snow for over 24 hours. Numerous residents responded to our request for images of the storm from different areas of Falls Church. Thanks to all the snow photographers!

Love the “live” coverage.
Might there be space for a “Good Deed” column for recognizing those who helped others in need e.g.,by getting a needed prescription, clearing the snow in order to allow ready exit and entrance — and a reasonably clear sidewalk for pedestrians volunteering at a care facility, transporting persons who use Metrotrain to and from an underground station — those folks having lost access to/exit from Metro at above ground stations when these stations closed at 1 p.m.
Jim,
Great idea. Please write up any good deeds you know of and send them our way.

While killing the day indoors take a moment to read the Washington Post Sports section article about GM grad Nick Pitas.

Anybody who wants to sled ought to check out Mt. Daniel Drive just outside the City between Highland (please do not drive there) and Grove. I will send a video shortly.
