SUNDAY 2/28: WAMMIES Music Award Show at State Theatre and Pre-Show Parties at Local Restaurants
The Washington Area Music Association’s annual WAMMIES award program will take place at 8 p.m. Sunday, February 28, at the State Theatre.
This year’s WAMMIES are sponsored in part by a grant from the City of Falls Church Economic Development Authority. The EDA is organizing Meet & Greet parties for WAMMIES Award Show nominees from 5:30-7:30 p.m. before the show. Parties will be held at five restaurants and are intended for nominee artists in all categories to mingle and dine casually with their fans, fellow artists, industry professionals, and media, while sampling cuisine from City restaurants. Artists are welcome to bring merchandise to sell and autograph.
The parties are grouped by music genre, with multiple genres featured at any given venue. More than 40 artists and bands are expected to participate, representing over 20 musical categories. The Meet & Greet parties will be held at:
