THURSDAY 8/5: Judo Chop Headlines Final Summer Concert in the Park

Thursday, August 5, at 7 p.m. is the final free concert at Cherry Hill Park featuring local musicians playing a variety of genres.

This week’s concert is by Judo Chop (80’s music). Art is by Bev Rocco & Justine Spilman (paintings & photography).

Concert-goers need only bring a picnic, blanket and lawn chairs if they wish. Refreshments and ice cream will be available for purchase.

The concerts are sponsored by the Falls Church City Village Preservation and Improvement Society and the City of Falls Church Recreation & Parks Division.

The series began in 1993 as an outreach of the Village Preservation & Improvement Society rekindling a tradition from Falls Church’s early 20th century.

City resident and local physician Gordon Theisz, who also is a board member of the Village Preservation and Improvement Society, is producer of this year’s concert series.

In the event of rain, concerts will relocate to the Falls Church Community Center (223 Little Falls St., Falls Church).

Get your mind off affordable housing and come hear Judo Chop tonight! Free at 7PM, Cherry Hill Park. In the event of rain, the City has agreed to allow the band to play in the gym tonight. No excuses! Come out and hear modern takes on 80′s music and have some fun!
