George Mason jumped out to a 22-0 lead Friday and coasted to a 82-30 win over Rappahannock County in a Bull Run District quarterfinal matchup Friday at Mary Ellen Henderson Gymnasium. Nate Ogle led GM with 15 points, Philippe Griffiths added 13 and Jeremy Stewart 10 in the rout. The starters played less than half the game but the bench continued to score almost at will against the overmatched Panthers.

GM (20-4 overall) hit 16 three pointers on the night, their highest single game total this season. As the top seed in the district, the Stangs will host a semifinal double header on Tuesday at Mary Ellen Henderson.  #2 seed William Monroe plays #3 Madison County at 6 PM.  That game will be followed by #1 seed Mason hosting #4 Clarke County at 8 PM.  The semi final winners will face off Thursday night for the BRD tournament championship. If Mason defeats Clarke the game will be at Mary Ellen Henderson regardless of the WM-MC outcome. Should Clarke win Tuesday the championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed.
