SUNDAY, 4/22: GOP Forum for Candidates
The Falls Church City Republican Committee will hold a candidate forum for city council candidates and any candidate of any state or local party running for any office Virginia this year on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 2:30 p.m., at the Community Center in Falls Church.
Candidates and Members of the public affiliated with any party are welcome to attend to hear the views of candidates for many
“With all City candidates running as independents, and with the end of endorsements by Citizens for a Better City, the task of Falls Church citizens becomes a little harder,” GOP Chair Ken Feltman noted. “In a non-partisan forum, we can give our neighbors an opportunity to meet and questions the candidates.”
The next regular monthly meeting of the committee will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., at the American Legion Post, 400 North Oak Street, Falls Church, VA 22046. At that meeting, delegates to the GOP State Convention will be selected. The state convention will be held in Richmond on June 16, 2012. Announced and unopposed candidates are Mitch Aydlette and Samuel Aydlette of Timber Lane, Kenneth Feltman of Hillwood Avenue and Lisa Miller of Broad Street.
At the March meeting of the GOP committee, delegates to the Eighth Congressional District Convention, which will be held in Arlington on May 12, 2012, were approved.
