After a week of extreme heat, many Falls Church area residents still managed to attend the annual firework display at George Mason High School. Here is a short clip of the show.

Fireworks have been accompanied by music for hundreds of years. One of the earliest is Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, first performed in 1749. If you open a window at the following link you will be able to listen to a portion of Handel’s suite while watching the fireworks video:
