Mason Field Hockey Game This Friday

SPECIAL TO THE FALLS CHURCH TIMES

Come see MASON FIELD HOCKEY in action this Friday when the JV team plays Briar Woods Team B at 6:30 PM and Varsity meets Briar Woods Team A at 7:45 PM. Friday is also “Senior Night” when the seven seniors and their contributions to building the field hockey program will be recognized during the pregame announcements.

GAME SUMMARY: Mustang Field Hockey triumphs 2-0 over Potomac

On Saturday, October 13, the Mason varsity field hockey team traveled to Leesburg to play one of the many Potomac Field Hockey teams. The girls came out and pushed Potomac’s defense to the limit by moving the ball with accuracy and precision offensively. Sophomore Emma Graig scored the Mustang’s first goal of the game, keeping the momentum high. Senior Rachel Pugh, leading scorer on the varsity team, scored a second goal for the Mustangs, securing a win. “Scoring a goal is such a great feeling! Especially hearing it slap the backstop on the goal… I love it!” said Pugh.
