This week’s Summer Concert Series and Art in the Park features Irish music and watercolors. Bring your picnic to Cherry Hill Park and listen to Mad for the Road, an Irish folk band that is guaranteed to get your toes tapping and entertain everyone with its blend of music selections — Irish and Celtic songs and tunes, bluegrass, folk, country, and an occasional children’s song.
An award-winning artist, Fran Bell Simms will have her watercolors on display from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the park. She is an FCA artist and a member of the Arlington Artists Alliance, as well as an instructor for the Arlington Adult Education system.
Sponsored by Falls Church Arts, the Village Preservation and Improvement Society, and the City of Falls Church Recreation and Parks Division. Admission is free. For more information, call 703-248-5178.
