SUNDAY: ArtSpace Hosts ArtSlam!, Music Jam
One of Falls Church’s favorite musicians, Andrew Acosta, is “sitting the gallery” at the ArtSlam! exhibit at ArtSpace Falls Church this Sunday afternoon, August 2. And Andrew’s bringing his guitar.
Musicians are invited to bring their instruments and jam with Andrew from 2 to 4 p.m. Non-musicians are invited to view the 85 works of art on the walls as they listen to the jam session.
Andrew Acosta is a terrific musician, singer and songwriter. He’s also a visual artist and his paintings are part of the ArtSlam! exhibit so check those out when you’re there.
ArtSpace Falls Church was designed to be a multiple-use space supporting all of the arts and Sunday afternoon’s “jam and slam” is certainly a great example of that flexibility.
ArtSlam! represents the work of 35 artists who are members of Falls Church Arts. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m., through August 30. ArtSpace Falls Church is located at 410 South Maple Ave. Parking is available in the “retail spaces” designated in the building’s garage and also along the street in front.
And if you can’t get to the jam this Sunday, you will find Andrew Acosta back in the ArtSpace gallery on Sunday, August 23 from 2 to 4 p.m.. Sitting and strumming….
