I think my favorite in NoVa is Wild Chicken in Fairfax, but I guess that's out of your jurisdiction. My only issue with Crispy and Juicy was yea, the weird sauce. What's that about? I don't know.

I was originally introduced to El Pollo Rico back in the late '90s when i worked down in the Ballston area of Arlington. i found the chicken to be very tasty, consistent and the staff very efficient. However, the combination of the sauces and the chicken were the biggest hit for me. i would have no problem waiting in the 30 minute line for the BCL (Big Chicken Lunch).

Now that I find myself in the Falls Church city area most days during lunch time I will occasionally meet a friend for lunch at Crisp & Juicy. The staff is friendly and the chicken is tasty. But the sauces hold room for improvement.

Now you have piqued my curiosity towards Super Chicken (not to be confused with Super Pollo in Arlington). I will definitely check into this newly discovered restaurant to do a proper comparison of these various Peruvian char-broiled offerings. Thanks for the article.

Thanks for your interesting restaurant reviews. Would you please put the website for each of the restaurants you review (or an address and/or telephone number if they have no website). it will make it easier for readers to find the location, etc. Thanks very much.

(EDITOR'S RESPONSE: Thanks for the reminder, Gerald. We usually do this but a tight deadline got in the way this week. Just to make up for that, the story now has map links not only to the two competing restaurants, but also to the two Arlington pollo joints that Jimmy actually prefers.)
