City residents who attended the two budget forums in mid-February were there to hear out the City then have their say.  When it came to speaking-up for the five City services and programs residents value most, education, economic development, and waste collection and recycling were at the top of most everyone’s list.

The complete tabulation, provided by the City of Falls Church, documents how much advocacy there was for each of the individual 68 services provided to the community from among those who attended the budget forums on February 13th and 18th.  Additional services receiving strong support were park maintenance and planning, police patrol, the library, and Cherry Hill Farmhouse.  The complete results are posted below.

Eighteen of the 68 services received no votes whatsoever.  These included zoning code enforcement, street sweeping, senior center programs, and every service listed under the Community Outreach topic.
