City Council and Planning Commission to hear Mason Row, Seven Corners plans

AGENDA FOR THE WORK SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA
HELD IN THE DOGWOOD ROOM AT CITY HALL, 300 PARK AVENUE AT 08:00 P.M., MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2014

 

A. At 7:00 p.m. the Planning Commission will host a presentation by the Developer for the Broad and West Street (“Mason Row”) redevelopment project for City Board and Commission Chairs and Members, City Council Members, and interested citizens. The presentation will be in Council Chambers at City Hall, 300 Park Avenue.

 

1. Seven Corners Planning Briefing by County Staff

 

a. Request: Hear the briefing and provide comment to Fairfax County

2. Use of Water System Sale Proceeds

 

a. Request:  review options and agree on public hearing schedule for Council action.

a. Request: Receive the year end financial report and discuss future budget and financial planning sessions.

    Am I reading this right…did the City wind up with a $3.8 million surplus in Fiscal 2014?

    @Brian….maybe/maybe not. Each year there is a little carry over of funds appropriated but not *yet* spent…but spoken for. Sometimes there are delays letting out contracts and such. I kinda think it’s not really surplus because the PP has the usual “closing the gap” scenarios.

    It will be interesting to see Mr. LaCondre’s presentation, hope it is real surplus.

    Hope folks attend both meetings.
