FRIDAY/SATURDAY, 4/26 and 4/27: Falls Church City Art Show

The City of Falls Church Recreation & Parks Department will present its annual Art Show & Sale April 26-27, featuring original artwork by art students, City residents and employees. The event kicks off with an opening reception at City Hall (300 Park Avenue) on Friday, April 26 from 5-7 p.m. The show will also be open on Saturday from noon- 4 p.m. Artwork will be displayed in the G Level Corridor and Dogwood Room. Admission is free for both days.

CALL FOR ENTRIES!

City residents of all ages and employees are invited to submit original artwork to the show (limit two submissions per person). Photography, paintings (watercolor, oil, or acrylic), and drawings (pencil or pastel) of any size will be accepted. Submissions can be framed or unframed. All artwork may be submitted to the Community Center beginning Monday, April 22 and no later than noon on Friday, April 26. Artists must include their name, phone number, and selling price (if interested in selling the artwork) on the back of each entry. Submissions from children K-12 must also include their grade and age. All entries must be picked up from the Community Center no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.
