SATURDAY, 3/16: Affordable Housing Expo at MEH

The 2013 Northern Virginia Housing Expo, showcasing affordable housing opportunities throughout the region, will occur Saturday March 16 from 10am-2:30pm at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School.  The Expo is hosted by Fairfax-based nonprofit AHOME in cooperation with the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA), the City of Falls Church, the City of Alexandria, the counties of Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun, and the Towns of Herndon and Manassas.The event will feature workshop and exhibits on location options, being prepared for buying or renting, and more. The growing list of exhibitors can be found at www.NoVaHousingExpo.org, which will also feature a schedule of the free workshops as the event approaches. Refreshments will also be available on-site.

This is the third annual Expo produced by this collaborative effort.  Last year’s Expo featured more than 60 exhibitors and hundreds of attendees and won the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers (HAND) annual award for “best government initiative.”  More information is available at www.NoVaHousingExpo.org and www.fallschurchva.gov/HHS.
