Three Times a Charm for the Ladies

With a pair of goals from junior Hannah Walker and another from sophomore Leah Roth, George Mason’s Lady Mustangs defeated Radford 3-1 in a 90 minute battle for the championship. Mason downed the Radford Bobcats in a match that was controlled by the Mustang midfield and defense for a majority of the game. Mason girls have now won the Group A State Soccer Championship 3 years in a row.

A Sweet Sunday for the Mason Boys

The Mason boys team defeated Radford 2 – 1 in their game played Sunday as their Saturday game was called due to thunder and lighting. The Mason boys team were also defending state champions — winning their second year in a row.

What a year for GMHS! Just wish I could have been in two places at once to see these games. Wouldn’t it be great to see them on FCCTV (even if they are taped and rerun). No doubt the City of Falls Church is very well represented by its youth!
    Congratulations!
    GO MUSTANGS!
